…I am not an expert on gaining Facebook likes, but I am aware of some things you can do to increase numbers and let me be clear not a single like will be paid for!
If you want to get likes there are many ways to do it, you can find services that will offer you 1000 likes for 10usd or hire someone on an outsourcing site to LIKE your page with hundreds of fake profiles. This may impress your friends, but will not do anything for your conversion and will screw up any later opportunity to maximise FB advertising impact.

You can pay Facebook for likes, but should you?
Answer is yes you should. Did not expect that did you?
Getting LIKES on Facebook is tough, you see numerous pages that struggle to get more than 1 or 2 a day and the huge majority of pages can only dream of 10 a day. The way I see it, they are part of Social Proof and so one of those boxes you want to check off to have an effective online business. Lets face it, the first thing many people do to check a site is credible is look at how many likes they have so if you have 43 likes, in your 1 year old page, my confidence in you might take a hit (Maybe it shouldnt, but that is how people react)
So i created the first Blog Post for AnyExpat.com on 25th Oct 2018 and during this experiment the site will pass 8 months old (In my mind it is 6 months old now as 10th Dec to 15th January, nothing got done). I feel like the first version of the website was plenty good enough for its purpose (Which was to get started) and now AnyExpat is levelling up. The rate of growth is no longer fast enough, the website no longer good enough and the social media challenge is a way to change gears.
What is the point of a challenge if it is not a challenge?
Look, I do not think it is realistic to hit this number, I believe 1000 would be a big challenge, but why not set a ridiculous target and try and figure out how to hit it?
When companies publish they are the fastest growing (I check) the casual acquaintance of statements with facts bothers me, if in a conversation I will often ask who is 2nd fastest growing (Do not know this then how do you know you are fastest) and so I would not announce that AnyExpat is the fastest growing because actually who cares? (You can though assume when AnyExpat becomes number 1, this will be published)
Visitors only want what they want, they are not concerned with how many others enjoy your content, engage with your service providers or visit your website, but for this 1 month Experiment FB does offer us a neat little way to compare, so I made a graphic for you adding Year Founded and actual likes over past 7 days.
So on the 9TH JULY a new version of https://anyexpat.com/ will be live, the design, function and feature of which we believe will be better than rival sites that have evolved over 2 decades. Preview images will be published in part 2 of this challenge.
