The first step to obtaining your State pension record is by following the link below, then the instructions:-

• Click Start Now
• 99% of people don’t have a login, so click “Create sign-in details”
• Follow the steps, it will ask you for your “Name, DOB, email address, NI Number, Passport number) You will need a valid mobile number and access to email.
• Go through the process.
• You will then be given a username (a mine is a 12-digit number)
• Set your Password
• Then log in
• Follow the ‘Check your National Insurance contributions’ link
This will tell you how many years you currently have, in terms of full contributing tax years.
To get the full UK State Pension of £164.35 per week, you will need to have accumulated 35 years of contributions, and a minimum of 10 years of NI contributions to receive a partial state pension.
You can backdate your NI contributions to increase your state pension allowance or have them equalized in Italy with INPS.
