Description

Agent Cook Book is a cooking app for people who have moved abroad. Save the recipes you love from anywhere, and the app tells you what each ingredient is called in the country you now live in, so you can find it at the local supermarket or market from your first week. Plan meals, make one shopping list sorted by aisle, and cook hands-free with big steps, timers and voice control. In 13 languages, on phone, tablet and computer. Free to start, and AnyExpat members get 30 days free on a paid plan.

New arrivals often stand in a supermarket in a new country and can’t find half of what a recipe asks for. Agent Cook Book fixes that:

  • Local ingredient names: pick the country you live in (any country) and every ingredient shows its local name. Coriander becomes coriandolo in Italy and cilantro in Spain.
  • 13 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Arabic, Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Malay and Indonesian. Recipes translate too.
  • Bring every recipe along: save from any website or recipe app, a WhatsApp message, a TikTok or Instagram video, or a photo of a family recipe card.
  • Can’t get it here? Swap it: swap any ingredient for one you can buy, or leave it out, in one recipe or all of them.
  • Plan the week, shop once: one shopping list sorted by aisle, shareable by WhatsApp. One plan covers you and 2 family members.
  • Cook mode, voice and AI: big steps, timers and hands-free voice (“next”, “timer 10 minutes”), plus built-in AI that answers questions about any step.

SERVICES / CATEGORIES

  • Cooking and Recipes
  • Meal Planning
  • Grocery shopping in a new country
  • Finding local ingredients
  • Settling in

Please note: point 7 of the offer mentions “translation / legal translation”. I think that line came from another partner’s template. For me it should read cooking, recipes, meal planning, grocery shopping and finding local ingredients.

PRICES

  • Free plan: recipes, imports from websites, meal planner, shopping lists, ingredient swaps, cook mode and voice control. No card needed.
  • Bring your own AI: US$3.49 a month or US$34.99 a year. Connect the AI you already use, such as Claude or ChatGPT.
  • Built-in AI: US$4.99 a month or US$49.99 a year. The AI lives inside the app, nothing to set up.
  • Both paid plans start with 7 days free (30 days with the ANYEXPAT code), include tax, and can be cancelled any time. They add local ingredient names, recipe translation, ingredient checks, photo and video import, and family sharing.
