Speaking Italian in Florence

I am Valentina, founder of Speaking Italian in Florence. I’m a native of Tuscany and a long time resident of Florence, where I completed my university undergraduate degree in Italian language and Literature (Italianistica and Modern philology) and later a Master’s degree (Laurea Magistrale) in Modern philology and Literature. For the past fifteen years I have devoted myself to teaching people how to speak Italian and to learn more about the Italian culture. It is my passion and watching my students progress is my greatest pleasure.
This work has been a long and wonderful journey for me, during which I have wandered down many roads trying to find just the right path. I began as a private tutor and soon expanded into teaching small groups. As my business grew, trusted, highly qualified, experienced teachers joined me to form a new teaching team. Now, I continue to teach, but I also spend my time organizing, coordinating, developing, and managing the curricula and programs for my students and team to ensure that the learning experience is maintained at the highest standard.
